Summer camp is 'technically' done over at Noel Mignon but many of us are still working on projects & we have the rest of today to finish them up. I'm about halfway through them.
Not sure if I'll finish them all but even if I don't it was a nice kickstart for me to get some layouts finished. It's been a while since I've been this creative.
Not to mention I've really enjoyed the conversations and inspiration over on the NM facebook group.
So here's a few more layouts that I finished up yesterday...
This one is for the 'capture the flag' challenge (to use pennant banners on the page). I was totally inspired by this layout so I decided to scraplift it :)
The photo is from Addie's 2nd birthday. For the rest of the photos from her birthday I used a Project Life pocket page design F.
This is for the Trail Mix challenge (2pcs cardstock, 3pcs patterned paper, 2 alphas, twine, brads, ink/penwork).
This is the front side of the page. So in her scrapbook the 2 pg spread will look like this:
And this is the backside.
Cropping the pics down to 3x4 and using this pocket page really allowed me to add lots of photos of her birthday.
This layout is for the archery challenge (arrows) and it was just my luck that I happened to have some archery pics from my daughter's competition earlier this year!
The journaling for this is on the shipping tag tucked inside that little pocket.
And this one is for the woodworking challenge (use wood elements on your page). I pulled out a kit from last fall that still had lots of goodies for me to choose from.
The wood elements used in this page are the woodgrain paper, woodgrain alphas, the wood branch that I distressed with Tim Holtz distress stain, & the wood clothespin.
Since the clothespin makes the page a bit bulky it'll probably be a layout that I hang up rather than put in an album. And when I do decide to put it in an album I may take the clothespin apart & only use the front half to make it a bit less bulky.
This layout is for the Swimming by the Lake Challenge (water pics). No brainer...definitely wanted to scrap the pics of Addie at the pool this summer!
And the last layout I've finished up is for the First Aid Challenge (scrapbook an illness/injury). This was perfect since I hadn't scrapped my little one's trip to the ER last December.
I pulled out the December kit for this. Even though it wasn't a Christmas layout it was an event that happened during the Christmas season...and we were wearing seasonal colors so it was fitting :)
I kept the layout pretty simple since this was more about recording the memories than making the page all pretty.
And that's it for now!
