Oh how I love them. The insects in my garden seem to love them, too :)
One of my favorite flowers of summer and fall.
Even the closed ones are pretty.
When we got back from Portland the first sunflower in my garden had started to bloom. And they are massive. Like, 12 inches across and over 8ft tall!!
You can see how tall they are by seeing how they tower over my 6ft fence.
Next year I need to plant smaller sunflowers in with these mammoth sunflowers...cause most of these are just too big to be cut flowers!!
