As many fellow Catholics I waited and watched history in the making. Again. The last time this happened I wasn't watching...guess I was busy with 2 little ones & such :) But this time I was sure to watch...taking in all of the tradition and excitment.
I recorded it so the big kids can see a bit of it when they come home from school. But Addie was at home with me to watch :)
It was amazing to see all of the people in St. Peter's Square, waiting & praying.
I think this was a wonderful choice. I thought it was wonderful that he not only blessed the people but also asked for prayers. Very humble. I can't wait to see how he leads the church.
They're already calling Pope Francis a 'pope of the people' and think they have it right.
